My favourite feature in Synapse Qbank is Tutor support, which I personally give a high shout-out. Then the High-yield tables and the embedded Synapse AI so we don't have to go to an external AI model. When I think about UWorld, it has much more questions and High-yield facts, but it's scattered around many questions. Synapse has collected the very High-yield in few questions so it covers the High-yield 95% of the questions, so it's wise to focus on the 95%, not the 5% which are not really predictable.I have never imagined I will give NBME that early in only 2.5 months of preparation, so it's very brilliant using it and scoring above 70% of NBME.Up till now I am only using Synapse Qbank and I didn't have to touch any other Qbanks!

I have a good basis for the step 1. Going to be taking the exam this summer (Mid June-Mid July). I just finished pathoma and i was gonna start Uworld and do 30-40qs a day till my exam date. A friend recommended that i look into the match guy qbank which has much less questions (around 1400) that focus on the highest yield topics. It’s tempting as i’m a lazy but fast learner. I need advice on whether it’s a good idea to do that qbank and do 15-20 qs a day and take some load off myself. Also if anyone that has used that qbank can give me feedback itd be great.
Before I begin I want to state that this is not an advertisement and I am not affiliated with any exam preparation companies/individuals. This is my own experience in preparing for, and taking, the Step 1 exam. Please reach out if you have questions. A couple months ago I enrolled in the Match Guy 7-Day Step 1 course. The course really helped by giving me structure and excellent instructors. It was very intense and difficult to keep up with so much material in such a short amount of time. Luckily, they provided us with recordings of the lectures and so I was able to properly cover the material. I watched all of the lectures two more times after the course ended, and worked through their Synapse qbank simultaneously. While going through the lectures and questions I kept with me my First Aid and Pathoma books for cross referencing and/or revising. I did not use UWorld, Amboss, Anki, Sketchy, or anything else. I only used the MG course, Synapse Qbank, First Aid, Pathoma, and NBMEs. Total serious study time was about 3.5 months. July 15: NBME 30 67% (Booked exam for July 23. Wasn't expecting this score. Was planning to get Uworld after this assessment. But with this score saying there's a 94% chance of passing I said screw it and booked the exam). July 19: NBME 31 68%
I just saw an ad for the Synapse q bank by Malke Assad but I can’t find any genuine reviews for it. Does anyone here have any personal experience with it?
